What data is collected, and why

Contact form. When you fill out the contact form, the information provided (name, email, phone number if provided, message) is used solely to respond to your request. The phone number is optional. Legal basis: legitimate interest in handling enquiries addressed to us.

Audience measurement (if you accept it). With your consent, Google Analytics collects browsing data (pages visited, time spent, referral source) for statistical purposes, in anonymized form (truncated IP address). Legal basis: consent.

Advertising (if you accept it). With your consent, Meta Pixel collects browsing data for advertising measurement and retargeting purposes on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram). Legal basis: consent.

Your data may be shared with the following providers, strictly as needed for their service:

• OVH SAS (site hosting) — France.
• Formspree (contact form processing) — hosted on Amazon Web Services, United States. Formspree applies the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to govern this transfer outside the EU, and holds SOC 2 Type 2 certification.
• Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics, if accepted) — transfers governed by the mechanisms Google provides for European users.
• Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Meta Pixel, if accepted) — transfers governed by the mechanisms Meta provides for European users.

No data is sold to third parties.

Retention period

• Messages sent via the contact form: kept for as long as necessary to process your request, then archived for a maximum of 3 years in the absence of any ongoing contractual relationship.
• Audience measurement data: 14 months maximum, in line with CNIL (French data protection authority) recommendations.
• Cookie consent preference: 6 months, after which the banner will be shown again.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data protection law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your personal data.

To exercise these rights, write to shiftr.medialab@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr) if you believe your rights are not being respected.

Security

Reasonable technical measures are in place to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. As no method of transmission over the internet is entirely secure, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
